A bit of luxury in a weekend
We spent Friday night in the lovely, historic Werribee Mansion as Greg's "reward night" made available to him on the anniversary of each year of service to the Accor Group. Seeing as the Mansion Hotel only became an Accor hotel last year (and is about to become a Sofitel next week), we thought we'd try it out. The heritage value certainly appealed to me!
The hotel is located in the wing of the mansion built by the Catholic Church at the turn of the 20th century. This wing was used to accommodate priests in training. This photo shows the former chapel (now the reception, library, bar and restauarnt of the hotel), and the rooms head away from where the photo was taken. Great spot, lovely food in the restaurant, huge pool table in the hotel's snooker room - all makes for a great night out! And the mansion itself is well worth checking out...and there's even a winery located on site too! What more do I need?!!
