Woomera to Coober Pedy - Thursday 6th August
Another cool morning but faced with another longish drive, we were up and at it reasonably early. Breakfast and pack up, including filling the water tanks as we won't have access to free water until the Flinders Ranges now. We were on the road by 9:30am for the 371km drive north. We stopped for fuel and morning tea at Glendambo, where the roadhouse made a milky but otherwise OK capuccino. The drive was quite pleasant today as there was no wind for a change and the sun was shining brightly. In fact, when we stopped at Ingomar for a snack and a stretch, we stripped down to tshirts! We arrived in Coober Pedy at about 2ish and headed for our "usual" caravan park (OK, we've only stayed here once before!) on the edge of town. A late lunch of sausage mc-Tracey-muffins and then a relaxing afternoon in the sun.Dinner was some of own lamb chops cooked outside (again, a novelty for this trip) and a quiet night.

Oh I do remember that caravan park, and the great company we had. Enjoy.
